I've noticed this year that there seems to be a lot of brown stains on the window sills which are hard to clean off. Tried a few things but nothings cleaning them up very well, anyone got any products they would recommend for fast and effective cleaning.

Are you talking about fly/spider poop (round circles between 1 and 4 mm across) ?
Some never seem to completely come out but if you wet frame or sill then g101 and scrub then rinse you'll get 99% of dirt and grime

Don't panic. You will find that 99% of the stains will be gone come the end of winter. In eight years I haven't had one complaint. These marks, mainly from spider poo are the worst at this time of the year.
I can only imagine that the winter UV rays bleach the stains during this time.

Cif is goo stuff.
A UPVC fitter told me to spray them with furniture polish once they'd been cif'd.
