How do you like yours! ;D
Spelling mistakes I know. This new mobile!!! :-\
-
I pay someone to deliver leaflets for me. 5-10 hours a week. I have a constant stream of enquiries.
Obviously I am lying because leafleting does not work. :)
-
I tend to do them myself street by street. I write the price on the leaflet and find this works well. Picked up 114 customers on one estate from delivering around 600 leaflets back in April.
I know leaflets aren't everyone's cup of tea but they work well for me.
-
i design them myself and post a few here and there either side of a new job in a new area.also i post leaflets in areas where i only have a few jobs.

How many leaflets do you go through a week?

Send your Dad out to knock on doors around the houses you are cleaning. ;D
-
none of the options above apply to me!
i get a company to deliver them, they use trackers and send me the routes walked.
i have identified streets for them to deliver to and those to miss out on street maps
-
more interestingly though... how do you get yours out kentkleen? ;D
compared to the response I get, you are doing far better
-
I deliver them myself AT selected times.
Its a bit like door knocking. People door knock at certain times of the day because they know they will catch more people at home at that time.
Leaflets are all about catching the potential customers attention.
If you rush in from work or the school run, stressed from work, kids running around all over the last thing on your mind is reading a leaflet thats been freshly posted!
Someone will, maybe 1 in a 1000.
What about a Sunday morning????
Relaxed, joint of beef in the oven, veg simmering, Leaflet drops through the letter box, SUN is shining through the dirty windows! BINGO!
Can you see where I am coming from?
What about placing the leaflet into a envelope and popping the houe number on it? (this method requires preperation) AMAZING RESULTS!

Paying a company will get volume out there and empty your pocket, results, maybe, maybe not.
Taking a bit more time to plan the distribution and method can bring amazing results.
My leaflets are the same colour and design as our van's signwriting and uniforms.
People recognise our company and I try and capitalise on that.
We deliver leaflets the day (or evening ;D) before we are working on an estate. People read the leaflet then see the van's! Guaranteed to bring in new customers in areas you are already working.
Thats just a few ideas people may want to try.

Have you heard of kleeneze and Avon?
-
could i give you a call kentkleen for a chat so i can pick your brains?
it sounds like you're got leafleting nailed!
if you drop me your mobile to my email richard.speech@gmail.com i will give you a call
-
email sent Richard.
Kleeneze and Avon (with years of experience direct selling through letter box delivering of catalogues) do NOT expect a customer to buy from there catalogues until at least they have had 3 posted and collected.

Agree with that. But they also go back for their catalogue and the customer/potential customer has to leave it outside the front door for collection. If the homeowner forgets to leave it, they knock. So the customer is inadvertantly getting involved with the product.

Iif all you are getting is 1/1000 on largish volumes, something is amiss. Hire your own leafleter.

i think 1/1000 is pretty much where it's at nowadays with leaflets. that's one client per 1000, not one call.
these stats are consistent whether i hire and track my own, do it myself, or with a good company. they dropped when i trialled royal mail, and when i used other companies

I get far better than that, but I don't keep a record. Initially I was getting around 8 calls per thousand, but it isn't as good as that now. I average 5 or 6 new customers a week and I have around 1,000 delivered a week. One or two of those 5 or 6 will be recommendations, picked up on the street etc, but I must be getting at least 3 x the return that you do.
Are the company delivering solus? To me it looks as though something is amiss. What does Vin at Pefect Windows get or Lee Pryor, both if whom are much more scientific than me in their implementation.

im getting 3 million double sided leaflets printed to look like a ten quid note on one side and on other will be £10 off your first clean (double charge) and gonna drop em all over Richards, bobs and Gav's "patches" by light aircraft
