Title: Window cleaning van on eBay
Post by: supernova77 on October 09, 2013, 08:11:36 pm
Have a look at the text the guy has added to this window cleaning van advert on eBay >> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111178281860

Seems like a really aggressive advert - Some people just don't know how to advertise things.  ::)roll

WHY ARE THEIR SO MANY WATCHERS THE PRICE IS THEIR SIMPLE DONT THINK YOUR GOING TO GET IT FOR 2GRAND AT THE END ITS NOT A AUCTION ITS A BUY ME NOW

'THEIR SO MANY WATCHERS' ? What like Bird Watchers ?

What's a 'DONT' ? Is it something you eat in Tamworth ?

'THE PRICE IS THEIR SIMPLE' - They walk around with pricing machines ?

'DONT THINK YOUR GOING TO GET IT FOR 2GRAND' - Why ? It says ' Make Offer '

'AT THE END ITS NOT A AUCTION ITS A BUY ME NOW' - True, it's not an auction but it's not a 'Buy Me Now' either. We don't want to buy you, but the van looks ok

Ask if it has vinyl sign writing before and if so can you have the old bits of lettering to reuse 'em

We could point out that on Ebay there is no such thing as a ' Buy Me Now ' but I fear the seller may explode.

I guess he is more likely to sell it to you as your offer is nearer to his asking price than mine.

Can you describe the condition of a van as excellent with the front seat ripped and missing some of it foam padding?

The other thing I enjoyed was that he would put a year's MOT on the van at the buyer's expense. Does he believe that anyone would agree to that?

If the deal was OK anyway and it passed, I would stump up[ for it - but only if it passed and I was present.  £50 for a bit of extra security sounds OKish.
