You might get more luck if you put the area down where it is !!!

Its Leith for anybody who maybe around that area.  Danny its quite direct, its a postcode, and people would know if  - they lived there see what I mean? not trying to be rude or anything - I work in postcodes because some peoples data although not in their postcode covers different counties......

Ok Chris I have to go with quickers takers at the moment, the lady has been on hold a day, not a big job Chris, just need you to go and quote, it may not be worth your while, I just need it covered with less fuss as possible.  Chris email e through my details and ill give you the address, I just need to confirm a time for you to turn up - like I say Chris, dont travel for this one, but if your there anyway

I understand Danny but im dealing with 40 000 records for maybe 20 customers, so I dont really have time to look on google maps to see if their postcode crosses into another county (which might be incidentally covered by somebody else) - wouldnt get any calls done at all - yep but I do get your point - name places mean nothing to me postcodes and distance do.  For example I live in Norfolk but I have a Suffolk postcode.  So I may have a customer on the border, so I have to do a recky who is closer, and name places dont help in that direction distance to postcode does..just the best way for me to work.  Danny its just dealing with so much data, you have to kind of not think about name places, I wasnt being rude or anything - If i had to think about every village, town, small off shoots of places, it would be hard work

danny surely you know the postcodes you work? if you don't recognise a postcode it is safe to say you don't cover it, I ignore all the ones I don't recognise p.s I knew exactly where EH6 was ;) and didn't need an area to confirm, this particular job just does not interest me so I never replied, I was going to suggest someone but it looks like it will be covered

Yea I too work in Postcode area as its just so easier than working in Street Names and with Edinburgh just takes a example of Oxgangs!  All they Crescents, Terrace, Road, Place, Lane.

Nah not got appointment yet but I actually know layout of the office as I used to have a customer few doors down until they moved.    However it needs to be a Trad due to the awkwardness of the windows.
