Title: £850 truckmount?
Post by: heritagecleaning on October 06, 2013, 08:04:15 pm
I always keep an eye on what's on ebay. This just came up-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Avenger-210-Chemspec-Truckmount-/261300528880?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cd6b9a6f0

Not much info online. Seems very cheap though  ???

It's a bargain for someone who knows how to use a spanner yes it'll go wrong but I'm pretty sure that every single part will be available one way or another, Richard at Chemspec may even have diagnostic sheets for it or my advice would be see chris at alltec he's like brains from thunderbirds.

It might be worth taking on as a project for someone technically minded.
I would also go and look at it first, seems a little too good to be true.

Think Mike Orme had one of these, or may have been the 410

Look at a second hand TM much like a second hand car, you would never dream about buying a second hand car without looking over it first no matter how much it was.
I got my fingers burnt when i purchased my prowler, i was told on the phone that it had hardly been used etc... yer in fact never been used by the seller but used and abused  by his staff...
John Kelly know the heart ache i suffered....  >:(

you always have to ask yourself why anybody would want to sell it that cheap in the first place. I have over the years spent a lot of time on keeping mine and other machines going. You do reach point with anything where it is not cost effective to keep maintained.
There is nothing worse than having an unreliable machine.

You may not believe this we happen to have a brand new one of these Avenger 210 its about 15-18 years old, I bought it but never sold it. I would have the new manual for it. Its stuck in the back of the garage. never used except for about 2 demos.
