Steve , dont want to sound cocky but i have thought about that already , if you look at the bottem pic you will see the box is on an angle , should my connections ever leak { they wont } the water will drain away !

Yup notice that now you mention it and it tilts away from the battery. I have the same trolley but found the height a problem for my car so I cut it in half, drilled a few holes in it and put a new handle on it. Dosnt sound good I know but it does look good and I will soon post pics of it.

This is a well balanced bit of kit , the barrell is empty in the pics and it still appears to be stood up ! ;D ;D ;D
The power switch can be seen in the bottem pic , back of the black box , £1.49 from motor factors , 3rd shelf just inside door ! ! ! LOL ;D

Rich P @ F
Did you fit the laminate flooring? ;
Do you eat all those hula hoops?
Oh, ..and, Is that just orange juice, or orange barley? ...Or something else??;D
-
If you reduce the height of the battery box, the centre of gravity will improve therefore avoiding the barrow tipping backwards when you remove the water container or reduce the weight of the watyer container. Nice use of the brackets to secure the box!
-
is that a tap on hose-lock connector.

PJ: ANYMORE QUESTIONS? YES CAN I HAVE MY JACKET BACK PLEASE?
SERIOUS WHAT IS THE EXACT DECRIPTION OF YOUR ON OFF SWITCH AS WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR ONE COULDNT FIND ONE,
GAZA
-
Its just a simple switch , rocker type , 2 connections , 1 live in from the pump and 1 live out to the battery , i cant see as i can make it any simpler !
Any 2 pole rocker switch will do the job .

Any chance off u sending me the details of how to build the trolley system thanks :D :D
-
how you goiing to send it down the phone line? build your own ;D
-
Rich, my original design was much the same as yours. I ended up placing the battery in a box resting on the axle. It makes for a much more stable load when your containers are getting empty. Far less strain on the arms when pushing it too.
Nice one mate. It will do the job as well as any other bought system. DAI
-
Hi Dai , i think i remember seeing your system , a very aluminium affair if i recall .
I took it for the test run today , all went well , except for the fact that i did not have enough hose coming from the battery box , just banged on 5M of mega star and its spot on .
