I bet the ropes have been stored near cleaning chemical or acid to look at them they would appear fine but will snap very easy, ropes should be cared for very carefully, it will be interesting to see what the H and S investigation concludes

just read that and phoned my brother, looks like one of his buildings, the rope work is subcontracted, it isn't though thankfully or he would be in the middle of a H&S investigation as the main contractor.

still glad the lad survived very lucky, speedy recovery to him

god he was lucky , i liked this bit tho

 He had recently qualified as a level two rope access technician. Workers can earn as much as £70,000 a year in the trade. :o
