Guys
here are some images that I am giving to the carpet cleaning community to use.
The first is wear age many of you know that this is a real issue with customers that does not clean their sofas for many years only to expect that once the dirt is removed it will look new. In my early days I can remember standing back proud after recovering a sofa only to see shock on the customers face that now she can see the real age of her sofa.
This is just my way of communicating this issue

I'd have more respect for you Ian if you meant it, but of course you don't. You just go off and lick your emotional wounds for a few months and then you are back again in a flurry, repeating the same patterns that will inevitably create the same results.
I don't think anyone actually wants you to go, especially in a childish hissy fit. A much better solution would be to realise why you get the stick you do and maybe modify your message to get the impact you want, you know, like in marketing. Sorry if this sounds patronising but I'm thinking it may help.
1. Read and edit your posts before you hit the POST key. No one wants to read an unedited thought stream.
2. Go for quality over quantity. I can't understand Len either, but at least his posts are short... and witty. ;D
3. Assume the silent majority read and benefit from what you post and those that criticise just simply don't agree with what you are saying, not that they are personally attacking you.
4. Finally. I think the best thing by far you can do is actually implement the things you bang on about, for your own business and your own credibility. There is no 'apparent' congruency between what you say and what you do on the web.
Don't go Ian, you big tart. :-*

well Ian
If you cant handle a load of old moaning carpet cleaners , what chance have you got.
I just cant handle the negative vibe
That's like changing over the weather channel because you don't like the forecast.
I think what you do is different and that's great , but i think the comments that have been made are generaly. valid but you seem to be unable to communicate what you are trying to achieve and if it is working or not.
I gave Garry criticism over his website design and he answered it with no problems
I took the Micky out of Mike halliday saying his van was more like a vets , he replied hes known all over because of it .
I don't see any of them throwing there teddy out of the pram just because I don,t agree or I criticise them
Get a chuffin grip Man its a forum not Cleantalk ;D

Ian
Some of us on here are reasonably web savvy and get the gist of what you say.
Many people on here however, are not.
I personally think that you could do with explaining how your suggestions can be applied to those peoples' businesses / websites. If they can understand how your web ideas and techniques can benefit them, I'm sure it would be well received.

Sorry but I have noticed that Ian has addressed this as a parting gift, does this mean he is leaving us? If so maybe it is because some of us have not been too kind think about it? Ted
