One of my customers brought me a brochure for Wet & Forget.

Was wondering what you all thought about it?

We have all these products produced locally in the uk .
I know for a fact that the quality of the raw ingredients used in the local products are far superior to general commercially available ingredients.The "Bone dry" is really old technology breathable coatings have moved on tremendously in the last couple of years.
The law concerning labelling regarding moss killers has changed  recently so shortly you will not be able to buy anything with the word "moss " on it!
I see the firm is from Nz ....i wonder if they are aware of this? Landed stock could possibly need relabeling?
Although the products themselves will continue to be available (as there will be no restriction on selling it just the name).

Forgot to say that the product (similar to wet and forget) itself works really well on most surfaces...we use it all the time on delicate cleans clay roofs ,listed buildings etc.  Bio degradable, kills living growth instantly but is broken down within 12 hours.  I have not found any surface you can't get really good results on. ;D

I've never heard of it let alone used it but I'm with Roger on this one  ::)roll Sounds like a product for keeping house plants alive while your on holiday

Far from it ...The same family of chemicals are widely used in lots of industrial cleaning products. Hospitals use loads of it due to the fact that as well as killing moss it eradicates a wide range of bugs and viruses and is relatively safe to use . I think even some condoms are dosed with it to kill sperm !

I know what you mean but even at wet and forget dilution rates (ie enough to kill moss) it is still pretty powerful stuff!
 We buy at 40% active and dilute 1 litre to 50 litres of water spread rate of 5 sqm per litre of mix. Strictly speaking 1 litre of 40% will kill all fungus and algae over a 250sqm area. Wet and forget must be around this dilution also...to work. ;D
