I always clean caravans with the machine in the van. I have a Transit and park the van with the side door facing the caravan door. All I need to do is run the hoses and power lead across to the caravan to start cleaning. If I pull the van door over a bit it muffles the noise. I can clean up to ten caravans a day this way  :)

Are statics not only 10amp?

I've cleaned statics before and not had problem with electrics using Ninja.
Just unplug heater when starting to clean and every time I stop unplug and plug heater back in.

Hi Corri

The Alltec Express machine would be a great machine for this.

Chris at Alltec Network can build one for you with one 6.6 vac which is ideal for low amp work.

Have used a sabrina maxi for years and is ideal for caravans, not only is it compact but light enough to move around if you're doing lots of vans.

I've never found it to trip the electrics either but still powerful enough to do a decent jopb

Im sure there are many options but perhaps  ...

An airflex Mini single vac ( get them to fit one heavy duty Electro motor )
You could also get them to fit an internal 2000w heater ( OK for 10 amps )  and use it the either heat the water when you are setting up prespraying by feeding the solution hose into your cleantank and circulating it .   or run the heater cord back to the next caravan when suitable .

You could also order a twin vac machine and get then to fit a check valve on one of the motors so you can just use one when needed .

13 amp but when we used to use the Scorpian some of the caravans would trip with 3 motors and the pump running whilst others were 'just' ok.

some are 10 some have been upgraded to 16 and both can reduce if the parks in use , so u may well have ended up around the 13 amp ..  but you will struggle to two vacs going on  the 10s .

I am using my AIRFLEX STORM, fitted into my van next to a 250 litre tank, as powerful as the Prochem Cub I used to use, much cheaper to run and have never had a problem with power from any caravan!  :D

Well I think I have narrowed it down to the alltec express with single vac (express cant have twin vac on seprate switches).  :( or the airflex min how John just said with the twin vac on two switches !

.?????????????????????

Done a few caravans with a prochem powermax 120psi pump and 2x3 vacs had no problems as soon as put the inline heater on it tripped straight away.

Actually both the mini and the express have the motors mounted in series ... so what  i said about using one vac at a time with a check valve would not be practical .... unless either company would make you a parallel vac version with a check valve , i doubt it   .  If you go the single vac route it would be really worth getting them to fit one of the newer high airwatt motors ...  the electro 5.7 or the ametek 6.6  .
And i would consider the heater on a second cord it could come in usefull .

It would be usefull if you contacted the caravan parks a see what supply is available .

Hi Corri

Our Express is the top spec one (custom built) 2x3 stage vacs, 150psi pump, in-line steam heater plus it has the in-tank 3kw heater which has been very handy on EOT.

If any help go with one of the motors John has posted and have the in-tank heater added.

Good to hear you have made a decision Corri.. here is a little clip of my little beast in action...
For any of you interested here is the spec...

Express with
2 x Electro HD + SD motors
150 psi induction pump
3kw inline heater with 2 heat settings
2" hose barb ( can also take a 1.5" cuff internally as in the vid)
Fan cooled body

The lift on this little machine is incredible...

It`s on a rocker switch..Top for carpet...bottom for upholstery which is also great for this work..

Your intank heater will be a kettle element immersion type  , and you will be getting a 2000w version as thats about all 10 amps will allow  ( 10amps = 2300w )
It should be very usefull as a preheater when you are setting up .

The other type of heater is an inline electric heater placed inline after the water leaves the pump  .  This can be positioned inside the machine or as an external unit .
You would still be limited to around 2000w in your caravan site ... and to use it at the same time as time as your machine you would have to run a cable to another caravan to avail of another 10amps to run it .

An inline heater will give a rise from your starting water temperature ( when the water is flowing through it )  .. i think about 25 degrees for 2000w and about 35 for 3000w . So it is  still an advantage to be able to preheat your tank water with an immersion tank heater before the water goes through the inline .
You can always pick up an external inline later  ,  there are 2000w versions available or adjusting the temp on 3kw versions should vary the amp load also .
