I know its not window cleaning related but there are some knowledgeable guys on here. The rear door on my mk6 tranny went mental a few weeks ago, kept locking itself again when I unlocked it with the fob. Had to climb in over tank from side door to unlock manually which worked. Since then the door wont lock, every other door locks but the back doesn't even try. The van does know if the back door is open though and wont lock anything if that's the case.
Help please, I'm tired of parking right up to the garage door.

Do you have one of those fancy alarms fitted or is it just factory?
I brought a transit with a alarm system already in and a loose wire made the door licks go mental, so i disconnected it untill i could get it fixed....
The other thing maybe the latch at the bottom of the locking door (left) give it a wiggle and see if it actually moves as they can get stiff (i.e when you shut the rear left does it lock shut?)
Not the most knowledable on vehicles, just two things ive had probs with in past, simple fixes

Just factory fitted and I've wiggled everything in sight. Makes no difference but thanks for the suggestions.

gonna have to test for 12v power at the lock . if the solenoid that pulls the lock open or shut IS getting power to it when you try to lock the van then the solenoids your problem. whether the solenoid is built into the lock i dunno but many vans had a seperate solenoid bolted inside the door ,that has a thin rod connected to the latch to pull or push it (locked or open)

I had one brand new and it was recalled for a security issue with the back door. The wires that go into the door by the hinge from the body could be got at and cut. This would disable the alarm and open the rear door lock. It could be that you have a broken cable inside the insulation or completely broken off.. They rerouted the cable with a protective shield on it. Check it looks ok.

Try the transit forum, that would be your best bet for info/help.

I had similar problems with mine, turned out broken wire in plastic casing
between van and door, check plastic casing that holds wire isn't broken.
