How many of you encap on domestics?? If any.....if so can anyone recommend any products?
-
Wouldn't encap mine so wouldn't anyone else's in return
Best keeping that to low profile commercials
-
What's the reason you wouldn't mate?
-
I do on some properties. I use Dynamall and Oreck. when I do use it they come up great every time, and smell great for ages too. Customers love it. Carpet dry's in no time.
-
Prefer to flush the dirt out. Quite often a carpet looks great after vac prespray and agitation but if as we all know hwe finishes the job off.
-
On my voids it’s encap only
-
I've started to encap quite a few with dynamall so far they have all come up great and the customers have been well happy :) del
-
Del what do you use to agitate? I have an Envirodri E40.
All, is there any carpet you wouldn't use encap/Dynamall on?
Cheers for all the replies

Me too with all voids, no matter how bad the carpet/s are they come up great with Dynamall. I have 5 carpets to clean next Monday tenants have moved out and they need carpets cleaning for letting agent. See carpets already £200 smacker for a few hours work with encap. Great. Fantastic for commercial too.
You can use it on any carpet Steve. John Kelly told me it's wool safe, just not got the logo on it.

Nice one Darran.
Seems too good to be true with the deodorizing, stainguard and no need for HWE.
-
I thought the exact same thing mate until i tried it. I put my trust in John Kelly, and he was bang right. Technology advances mate, I always used my extracting machine on every job. Not any more.
It's the dogs nads mate. Honest great stuff.
-
But you're not cleaning the carpet! >:(
-
Say for example a lounge 12 ft x 14 ft. Vac prespray agitate and then physically suck the dirt out - 45 minutes
Why encap it?
-
Encap dries quicker, cheaper and is quicker to clean with than most portables and you don't need a van a small car will do, Jason utilises all vehicles at his disposal he used to turn up to jobs in his range rover sport.

Darran I feel so disappointed you did not mention me in the above. It was me that told you about dynamall and I get no mention. We are over! Don't try to call me. :D

its great as a follow up or second pass as many products have brighteners in them and this gives a nice finish to an old carpets. works great on white. it only takes minutes to apply and makes some jobs. well worth it

today I encapped an end of tenancy. There was a road closure and it would have meant a 200ft run to do one bedroom. Although there was a noticeable difference in appearance it was no where near the results that can be achieved with a good prespray and hot water extraction. In another house today there was no electric so I had to agitate the prespray with a rake. It is nowhere near as effective as using a machine to agitate. A lot of these things are fine if you do not have anything better to compare with.

Hi Peter
I agree you cannot beat hot water extraction after pre spray. However on some of the void properties (were carpets are in good condition) but tenant just wants their deposit back, encap works great for me. Don't get me wrong if the carpet is really bad, then extraction only. But most voids I do, carpets are in great condition, just down that their carpets need cleaning after they leave.
Some of domestic properties were custy lives encap is fine if their carpets are in good condition too. I'm not saying encap is better, but when and were it can be used, its great stuff.

Which would clean better encap using dynamall or using the microsponges and vaccing??
