anyone has any nocking noises on their vans? its just past a MOT but its a clunking/noise when I turn the steering?
also its due a service whats the best oil to buy for vans?

track rod end there a bugger for these very cheap to buy around 14 pounds and ten mins to change

go on euro car parts they have massive discounts on there and you can decide what oil you want to pay for

If front wheel drive its your CV joint try it on full lock on a car park will knock then turn wheel other way to check other side

i hate to say this but your all wrong i had a vivaro went in for mot with same knocking sound and it was the bearings on the top of the shocks

Is it expensive is what im suggesting haha dad thinks it could be drive shaft!!

Unfortunately none of us can help you; best to get a mechanic to inspect it. It could also be a lower ball joint or track rod end as Susan has suggested, but this would be found at MOT by a competent MOT inspector. It is amasing how many drop links are not spotted though.
Just thought - could also be a broken spring.

Im booked in thursday morning 8.30 am :o
When i brake the van pulls to the right, also when i step in and out of the van it sounds like a clunk, i think its a snapped spring just by the sound but i will see thursday

Easy to spot a broken spring - just use a torch

Not sure about your knocking noise, to many possibilities. But I would strongly advise you use a good quality oil (unless you intend getting rid of the van soon). It will probably say in the owners manual what to use, but if you don't have one, it will be easy enough to find out on the internet.
