I got a 300gpd ro system thrown in when I bought a van with set up,
production was very slow, took approx 2 and a half hours to fill a 25 litre drum!
iv changed all filters and membranes and its still the same.
will I need a booster pump? or any ideas what the problem is?
water pressure is 55 psi

Mine goes slow sometimes but I take pipe out from ro quickly and push in again and it goes fast again but you may get a lil wet when you do this lol !!! Give it a go it may work !!!
-
cheers for the reply mate but I was looking for a more permanent fix lol

Which pipe? Inlet, outlet or waste?
If it is either outlet or waste, I think that what is happening there is that there is air trapped in the system, by taking off the pipe you are letting it out maybe?

Soupy mines the water pipe going in ro it comes out fast for about an hour then just goes slow so I take the pipe out of the ro quick and push it back in to get the fast flow again !!! strange !!!

anybody got any ideas? could do with getting something sorted kinda sharpish!

Wardlo try taking off each little pipe one by one and blow thru them, try back flush if you have one fitted if still don't work get a booster pump with electronic cut off about £80 but will improve your flow your pressure will go up to about 80/90 psi and your filters last much longer !!!

I think im just gona buy a booster pump as it seems like its a win,win situation.
Il try blowing through the pipes first tho cheers danny

No probs Wardlo you'd be better off with pump it will also fill your static tank up much quicker.

I'm ordering one over the weekend mate, anyone any suggestions which one to buy?
I was looking at the pure freedom one but its over £100,I thought it was a bit pricey?

Buy a better ro that will produce much more water quicker.

I wish I did before I bought new membrane and filters tbh.i think il get a booster for now,get some use out of my membranes and filters then look into getting a 4040,
can anyone recommend a decent booster then?
