Since I started 10 years ago I have been posting letters to our clients with our current offers and had a very good conversion rate. with the cost of stamps going up to 50p for second class it is now £100 to send 200 letters. This is still the best form of generating work for me and is still £100 well spent. I was wondering how many people send their offers out by email and do you still get as good a response as if it were posted? Is it worth trying to get all my existing clients email addresses ( this would take some time ) and start emailing which would be totally free. I have visions of it going straight into the junk box with all the thingy enlarger and Viagra emails.
Many thanks for any coments

Lavinia.
On average, what is your return per £ 100 spend?
The reason I ask is that I was surprised recently when I checked some figures for postal "reminders". I found I had an 8:1 return on investment (ROI) excluding cost of performing the cleaning.
It tells me I should be churning letters out far more frequently than I am.
With emails, you may have to make it more than just offers to hold their attention. Why not get a customer who runs a business to supply you with some vouchers (a bit like your own version of Groupon)?

might be worth looking into a franking machine.....does work out cheaper after the initial cost

There is a company that was mentioned on here a while ago. Was it Docmail, Maildoc ?
