Title: 5 storey flats pole required

Hi guys as per tile
Using Gardiners poles, what would be required to clean 5 storey windows ?
That's ground,1-2-3-4+5

Usually about 8 -10 ft per floor as a rough guide. Depends on type of building

I would guess that 6 floors would be commercial.
Probably looking at 12ft per floor in my experience.
You want to be looking at 70odd feet bud.

I would use a 45 foot pole for 5 story block. I am a tall chap, but I would reach easily.

Don't make the mistake I made in getting a supermax 50 ft for a commercial job. Its ok but not the right pole for the job.
The height is the issue, the pole is at its maximum and is way too whippy and I can not get any perches on the glass.
Totally my mistake I should have gone for a Extreme or a Swift. The pole's are more rigid. Swift pulse 65ft would be my choice as I have now used one( Borrowed) and the cost is more or less the same with a brush for commercial work that is more superior. In my opinion.

Very difficult because generally you cannot try the pole before you buy it and other peoples recommendations are often optimistic. I bought a 45ft smax for solar panels but have to say i am a bit disappointed in the pole.

The Swift is a great pole.
Just sold mine.
Ergolite, also a great pole.
There are lighter poles available but the Ionics (top end, not grafter crap) seem well made and very strong.

Where are you based Mr B ?

Maybe someone could pass by with a pole and let you decide ?

I have a 45 S-Max, I find it ok to work with though have never had to use it fully extended, but think it would be adequate for 5 floors of a modern building. I clean a 4 storey Victorian department store and believe the pole would clean another level.

I will wait until I get the job, then ask on here to try a pole out before I buy it.

Ionic run roadsides all over the country. The whole idea is you can try before you buy. Their top end range is very good, lower end is far too flexible.
