Title: powerwashing price check
Post by: TomCrowther on September 15, 2013, 09:31:22 pm
Hi Guys, just wanted to get some feedback on a price I gave yesterday.
Its for a very dirty, mossy, weed covered block paved drive and equally filthy patio and path area. About 220 sq meters of drive and sixty sq meters of path/patio. Quite a lot of stuff to shift in the way of large pots and general junk.
I quoted £750 which includes the resanding but not the actual sand as they think they have this already? Anyway, what do you think of the quote? It might be a bit more than I would usually charge but it is filthy.
Cheers.

2 days work ? Its the right price if you get the job and if you think that the price is correct then you stick to your guns

Yes, two days work and I hate doing a job, realising I had under priced it.

Approx £2.70 per m2 with all the weeds and muck to get out on the driveway, and re-sand? More than a fair price I say.

You assume you did'nt get the job because you were expensive but that may not be the case, it could be for many reasons ie too cheap, you came over badly or they just did'nt like you

Check this, seen another company cleaning a place in town last night that we've been doing for nearly 5 years now. Wasn't happy obviously and it played on me all night. Got hold of the client today to see if we've been f***3d off and he says it was a one off as he just presumed we wouldn't be able to do it at short notice and with the fact we do 5 nights in the city centre so called in the other boys, who at my shock were butchering the steps with a turbo.

Makes you want to keep more close contact with your clients.
