Title: EZ-Pure DI discontinued?
Post by: formb on September 12, 2013, 05:28:43 pm
Does anyone use EZ-Pure DI filters?

They appear to be discontinued, gone from the Gardiners site and listed as discontinued on some others.

Any one know why?

I can't actually see the DI canister on their site.  Are you after one? I've got a brand new ez pure housing and a DI insert which is only a few weeks old if you are interested?

No thanks. I have about 10 housings ready to fit. I have been refilling the single use canisters, it works but you need to keep an eye on the TDS. I think having them mounted horizontally causes issues, the TDS will creep up to 30+ give the canister a shake and it'll go back down to 1 or 2. Rarely have I seen it at 0.

Because the canisters are much smaller than the bottles that they have replaced it is difficult to tell if they are as efficient. Only time will tell.

Hi Soupy

They are now back on the website - we are also doing them in a 30" version now.

With these style canisters they are best used in a vertical position the same as a DI pressure vessel.

Many thanks Mr Gardiner.

Is there a difference between the single use ones I have (bought from you a few months back) and the refillable ones now listed on your website, or is it just that mine are (were) glued?

Many thanks Mr Gardiner.

The only difference is that the ends are only taped not glued. When refilling remove the tape, re-fill and then tape the join back up to keep the insert water-tight.
