He's right !
Its happened to me on 4 occasions now even when I have been careful making sure its screwed on properly and not cross threaded.

that's rubbish then!

Make sure it's not cross threaded, I always pick it up from the straps, the back packs are good though

Sounds an idiotic design putting handle on the lid??.

seems most are doing that now! putting me right off!

Ws 18 has handle on lid never had any problems.
The gardeners one is dodgie for cross threading & coming off.
Plus pumps out to much water even on slowest setting

no. Cant believe how fast the gardeners one is. on highest setting it would empty in no time. Might fill it up & see how long it lasts on highest setting.
-
put off the gardiners due to lid and put off ws18 due to no controller
-
ok cheers.

I have a bypass back to pack reduces flow nicely

I've got the Gardiner Backpack, never had a problem with the lid handle. I just put a tiny amount of silicon lube on the thread and it's ok for ages. Never had the lid come off whilst carrying it. Decent backpack.

Do you like lube.? :o

Err...... only the electrical one, for greasing the wires. Works well on threads! ;D
