Title: replacing 40inch ro membrane

can anyone tell me how to remove old membrane from housing as i cant seem to do it?

Not sure if its the same sort of casing I use but I've got a plastic type spanner to undo end cap !!!

There should be a large white circlip which you need to remove first. Once thats removed the centre cap (usually black) can be difficult to pull out. Its just a tight fit, you need to get molegrips on the fins of it taking care not to break them, turn it and pull slighltly at the same time.

clean it all out with a bleach solution before fitting new membrane

Is bleaching something you should do every time you change the membrane?

Bleach all the plastic fittings,YES I WOULD.NOT THE THICK STUFF, BLEACH THAT IS.
