Which one did you buy - the CFBC or the CFB-Plus?  If you bought the CFBC did you select the optional sediment filter?

I presume the 018ppm is after the RO but before the DI.  What is the input pressure of your water and the input TDS of your water?  What was your output ppm (pre-DI) with the old filters?

cfb plus ,the reading of 018 is after the di.but when i first got it  it was 000 only made about 2000ltrs of pure.

The new pre filters only real job is to strip out the chlorine from the tap water that would  damage the RO membrane. It does not actually affect the ppm reading.

It sounds like the resin in your DI is exhausted. How long since it was changed?

exactly the same thing happened to me, I bought the cbfc a few months ago when it first came out. I maybe wrong but I don't recall the website recommending you use a pre sediment filter then to prolong its life. This was before the cbf plus was added to the site.
I don't know now whether to replace with an ordinary carbon block and pre sediment or replace it with a cbf plus  ???

Might be worth mentioning that the CFB plus is rated at 37,800 ltr life where as the CFBC is 75,000 ltr life.  ;)
I've recently started using a CFB plus filter system and think I will change the CFB plus filter every 6-8 weeks to be on the safe side.

What is the output TDS after the RO and before the DI - what was it running at using the older pre-filters?

Which filters have you fitted? The CFBC or the CFB-Plus?

Did you flush the filter before connecting to the RO membrane?

What is your input pressure?

What is your production rate - has this increased since fitting the new filter?

I flushed it yes.
Its the dearest and i also added the sediment before it as mines hardwater area.
Not sure on pressure but production has definately slowed down since changing filters.

Not sure on pressure but production has definately slowed down since changing filters.

It may be that this filter is not suited to your system - this could be down to the input pressure of the water. As water processing is so dependent on exact water conditions (input psi, input temp, input tds, chlorine level, un-dissolved sediment level) not every product is suited to every water situation.

Drop me an email on alex@agardiner.co.uk and I can look at a solution for your exact set-up.
