Is this door knocking lee or leaflets?
Great work mate.im hoping for 2 nights canvassing this week.
-
What's your total number of customers now lee? I'm also keen to know if that was canvassing or leaflets .

god i need to get in gear and canvass, got 300o leaflets dropped last week, not even 1 call yet :(

Hi
I think lee leaflets but its the best leaflet I have seen a3 folded.
And numbers they deliver 10 's of thousands. I think his print run is 30k at a time.
On carpets one guy delivers 5000 leaflets a week every week.
As we all know its a numbers game.
It's either pay someone or rope in a horde of family and friends.
Cheers
John

I had 20,000 leaflets delivered last monday.
I have ditched my canvassers as the quality of the customer is quite poor compared to one that chooses to come to us.
i do have 30k printed each time. I give my window cleaners 150 a day each to deliver while there out on top of existing jobs. They do about 10k a month like that.
Im hoping to step it up next year by doing 30k a month every month from march. We are also still going to do the exhibiton stand in shopping centres and garden centres around the area.

Excellent work Lee,how many window cleaners do you have working for you now m8?
Would love to grow my window cleaning business like yours.
-
Great results from leaflets mate, proves you can get the work from them if you put enough leaflets out there.
-
How many leafletters to deliver 20k in a day?? Im guessing jogpost did the business. Great results.roughly works out 1 customer for every 300-400 leaflets at a guess so a good average considering 20k was delivered.
Well done.

Awaits Mick Kent telling you how he never gets cancellations.
Fact: There is no quicker way to build a round than canvasing.
Fact: Once you have built a round the best way to grow/refine with quality customers is with leaflets.
Well done though Lee. Your guys are going to be busy in the next week or two.

Excuse me???
I get plenty of cancelations via canvassed customers when i do lower class areas thanks and am not scared to admit it.
Just was lucky with my stepdads round that all has been good with 4 cancelations to date which is cracking as normally it's a 70% average retention.

the other thing that I notice is that from leaflets we get loads more extras. Everything we do is advertised in our leaflet and we get way more extras than from canvassed customers.
I find that the cost of canvassing is about the same as leafleting. the only real advantage i see with canvassing is they will be more compact and you have more control over the areas you gain customers.
-
How is your franchisee going Lee ?
-
Well done , I did have a bash they leafletted 7k in one day made the money back over 2-3 cleans so about the same as if you were to pay a good canvasser think it was 11 or 12 paying customers
I found ofc they were easy for that first clean and were happy to pay quite a bit extra
But We still had the same rigmarole with keeping them you can't rule out messers just cos they pick up the phone think it was 3 customers who cancelled n 3 one offs
So left with 6 some of these 6 are hard work want to be in wont open the gate others are easier but still need notifications ,which ain't ideal but decent prices so its okay
My personal conclusion is that yes it works yes it can be easier then door knocking but its bloody expensive and I ended up taking every little scrap offered as its already been paid for
And on an afternoons knocking Im able to pull 10-15 names and numbers maybe £200+ of which £100 at least turn into serious customers and that costs nothing
So if you think about it those 12 payers from 7k leaflets which is almost 2 per thousand which is a pretty standard response I can do in an afternoons knocking at the cost of nothing
Just my time
Horses for courses it works well for you lee

Another thing lee you are fast to call em "customers" you have to have drop off like everyone els if you keep 40+ for the year that's good going ;)
-
I call them customers because anyone that spends money with a business is a "customer" by definition. It doesn't matter if that's once or 100 times.
Your point is true we do like everyone else get drop offs. Many less from leaflet customers though.
-
Well Done Lee,
Nice to see someone who is driven, and knows and speaks common sense.
I agree totally, the work is out there if you want it.
I have had the best month I have ever had in past 23 years, fingers crossed I haven't spoken too soon.

Lee,
would you mind showing us the design of your leaflet as I think this has a lot to do with getting a good return on the leaflets!
thanks

Lol he won't show he's spent a lot of time and money getting it right I was dyin to see it before fair play to him though I like his videos as well

do you keep dropping through winter lee? or do you change the way you go about it through those months?
or are the results and methods the same all year round??
-
If I got that many new customers in a week, I would have a heart attack !
-
My view is that a constant feed of leaflets is more manageable. I can see why the chap at Perfect Windows would do a large drop to get someone up and running really quickly, but for me a steady 5-10 hours a week gives me a manageable number to absorb into a pretty full round.

Sorry I dont share my designs. I also believe everyones business is different and what works for me may not for someone else. Sorry.
I feel the bottom line for marketing in any business is find what works best through trial and error then simply do as much of what works as possible.
I only market from the end of March to the end of Sep. I find results drop off a lot outside of those months and also prefere to save the money in case of snow ect
