Title: Roger. recomend me a decking oil for pt boards.
Post by: evil genius on September 06, 2013, 10:54:36 pm
have just cleaned a pressure treated timber decking area.
i need to see how it looks when dry buy may need to go over it again.

the customer has asked me me sand and oil/stain. they want to keep it nearer and natural look rather and somthing thats just going to enhance is slightly.
i know its only a pressure treated cheap diy store product and its never gonna look out of this work but i just want to give it some life back and some protection. i dont really want to use a poor product and get a call in 12 weeks time saying it peeling.

the area is around 30m square.

thanks.

Ian,

Colourtrend OTO (Natural Glow) will get the deck shape.
Just make sure you have the decking as clean as possible, if there is any raised grain, I would run a sander over it to remove, then re-oil. Colourtrend is 1 coat water based oil.
For 30 sq mt's 1 x 5lt should do.

Thanks very much for the advice roger.
I looked at your website before posting and seen the colourtrend logo so searched it but other than the colourtrend site I found no online stockists that I could buy from or get quick prices.

Thanks.
Ian
