Title: More height...
Post by: PoleKing on September 06, 2013, 08:47:26 pm
Someone posted the other week about a fella that cleaned a 'certified' 88ft with a pole I'd never heard of that isn't made anymore.
Has anyone got anymore info on those poles please?
I assume they weren't marketing it as a 90ft modular pole?
Did the fella (sorry-I forget his name) exceed the recommended maximum height?
Did he have any problems?
Did he ever 'lose it'? As in-a bit of a wobble but not actually drop it?
How heavy was it?
How whippy? (Hard to quantify I know)
What was it made of?
Thanks in advance

Sounds familiar...
It was only a week or so ago, someone posted the CIU link from when he did it with pictures.
It came up on an unrelated thread and I think how to search it.
Whoever posted the link will remember and I was hoping they'd indulge me...

Darrenlaneswindowcleaning,

regarding weight, very light
whippy, can be but keep as upright as possible and take it slowly
just be careful and only really use in restricted areas, or very early morning

hope this helps a little

Cheers Archer (thinking I should shorten my screenname ;D)

Have you got one?
Do you still use it?
What height do you go to?
Weightwise-Ionic light or Gardiner light?

He did.
He's not chucked his hat into the ring though. He may still...
The brimbles have on their website that they have 'world record height' so perhaps they're closer to 90ft...
