Got a little toy sent to me by Willie Erken the other day....... soon to be released Wagtail Orbit. Basically it gives your pole the unique swivel a wagtail squeegee offers. Gonna play with it tomorrow but I already know its gonna be AWESOME !!! :)

A squeegee needs to maintain contact with the glass 100% otherwise you're left with streaks or smears, so i see the need for a swivel for a squeegee. As someone else has pointed out swivels have been out for years. What makes you think a swivel action for a WFP is gonna be AWSOME ? It doesn't need 100% contact in the same way as a squeegee.
You can't beat an AWSOME review before its beeen reviewed eh ?

Swivels ARE awesome for WFP!! I've been using them for years & couldn't work without one now below 30ft. For domestic work especially they are IMO the best innovation since wfp itself!!
You DO have to be patient to begin with, as like with most new things, you have to adapt & learn how to use it to it's full potential. There are so many benefits to them that any negatives are outweighed 100-1.
A Gardiner resi-neck swivel combined with an Xtreme brush is an awesome combination.
They work better with a 45 degree angle from the brush as oppose to 90 degree- which unfortunately I do not get on with. On that note, I personally think that 45 degree works better even without a swivel, the pressure just seems better spread & the various forces seem to favour 45 degrees better.
Anyhow, if you've not tried one, or have but didn't give it chance, you don't know what you're missing!! ;)

I have a Gardiner swivel and I now have the orbit... there is no comparison IMO. I have been waiting for a tool like this to come out for over a year now. Having used the Wagga modified water fed pole that used a heavily modified Gardiner sill brush attached to an orbital standard squeegee handle fixed to a Harris pole using tubing you would find at an Aquarium.... so proper DIY. Anyway, I used it and it was absolutely awesome far better than the swivel.
Now the Orbit is not exactly the 'Wagga' invention that I saw and used, so this was my only disappointment ( I believe the 'Wagga' invention is to come very soon) but once I got over managing my own expectations ,I fitted it to a wfp and can quite honestly say that the wagtail tech is brill...
Next week Im taking it out for a full week, will do a video on it too as you must really see this tool...... pivoted or swivel heads might not be for everyone, but everyone I have shown it too so far love it...

We bought an Unger swivel squeege (0 degree) for an internal job but I couldn't master the swivel action on the end of the pole - ended up just dragging the blade across the glass horizontally which worked ok.
