Starting to get a tds reading between 1-6 what's the highest it can go before I change my resin

until 10 is fine even if some window cleaners clean until 40. If you want to be sure max 10ppm IMO

give a good shake to your DI, you should go back to 1-2 ppm for a while

mine has started to go up, got 309 from the tap, 219 from the ro and 8 through the di and I have put new filters in and new resin.  used to be 0, any advice on what the cause could be?

Looks as if your  R.O. has died you need a new membrane.
At 219 from your R.O. the resin wont last long.
