Strip about a foot of edge preferably at a corner and work out the time required to do all the edges by hand.
Corners and edges can be the most built up areas.
Coating should only take an hour or two depending on size of floor.
If it just needs a light cut back and over coat - happy days.
Stripping will be messy, require masking, machine clean up, pads, additional rinsing.
(Your Hourly Rate x Time) + Materials + Profit = unit price.

Watch out for the stripper removing paint off skirting s etc I start at 120.00 and go up from there if the customer has had a go themselves before they are usually more than happy to pay someone else despite it being a straight forward job and make sure you rinse the stripper and neutralise the floor before polishing

Thanks for the advice as its my first job it will b a good learning curve been on a course taken by Jamie so he has made sure that I know all the basics ie acid rinse after floor stripper gloss or Matt finish depending on condition of the floor.
I would always charge for time plus chemspec and then profit
Thanks for your help

We are told by someone who strips these floors regularly that the Hone 800 grit powder works brilliantly on these floors! Don't know what |Jamie's opinion is though?

Honing powder can be a worthy addition.
Low grits for heavy stripping on linoleum, 220 & 320 for stripping vinyl.
400 for polishing out scratches on karndean & amtico followed by 800 if you dont want to apply polish again.
