Post by: Mitchellmoxo on September 01, 2013, 09:30:25 pm
I have made about 600L of water with my RO man 150gpd with a inline D.I.

No, unless you're after a tds of 0. Give the di vessel a shake around and it should come down again.
If you get a booster pump, your resin will last for ages.

Great thanks, do you know how the booster pump increases the life of the resin? Cheers

Yes. The quicker water is pushed through a ro unit, the more efficient the ro unit will work.
For example, it will probably double the amount of pure water made in the same time and even better, the tds will be almost 1/2 of what it is now before going through the di vessel.

Sorry to hijack but i'm thinking about boosting...
I've got tap pressure of about 90psi, can you recommend a booster pump and what sort of psi is optimum?
Thanks, Darren

That's high - you don't need a booster pump

90psi? That's good. I think the booster pump I had was 90psi.
