Can you all please give your opinions of ionics v gardners. Re the poles I have only ever used ionics gear as everything else seems, well, crap really. Their hot water system is excellent , I have never had any genuine complaints in five years, and now they have sorted out the glue on the poles, I think there excellent to, any other opinions ? Not brodex now that IS crap.

Gimme a month bud.
I've just bought all Gardiners poles to replace my Ionic.
Only reason was the positive reviews on here and my 72' doesn't fit in the van so I carry that on the roof rack.
Whereas the Gardiners extreme with extensions does.
Ionics-all excellent poles. Very very well made and super strong.
Marginally heavier than Gardiners but could they be stronger? Only time will tell...

Not a fan of the Gardiner clamps, glad I only got a clx now.
What are the clamps like on the Ionics poles, I may give them a try
-
Clamps are really good.
I've not broken a single one.
The poles wear out before the clamps.

i had a ionics grafter two years ago , top clamp broke first time i used it , they sent another , broke again along with the next clamp down , they sent more clamps .......you guessed it broke again . its in my garden with three broken clamps .
They did send me a 40ft reach glyder carbon pole as compensation but its quite heavy and bendy .
much prefer gardiners poles.
Ionics systems and customer service are good though .
