Title: advertising board results....
Post by: H20cleaning on August 29, 2013, 07:56:09 pm
(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1377802392_road sign.jpg)
that is the road sign I had made a few weeks back.
Just so you all know I put it at my local shops around 7 days ago, And have just picked up a £80-100 facias job! the sign only cost me £15.00. The sign obviously works faster and better than leaflets because I haven't had a single call off my last 1000 I delivered.
so the moral of the story is im going to get more made and leave them after jobs have been completed ;D and I think you all should aswell ( if you are not from the Teesside area;) )

Well done mate, good idea.
Be careful where you leave them though, i'm sure the council could land you a nasty fine if you leave it in a public place.

I spoke to my local barber and he leaves his sign near a local park, and he said the council have rang him about 10 times and just ask him to move it:)
mine is actually on  private land so unless the owner complains then its fine there:D
going to get a few signs but just Plastic ones to tie wrap on fences after jobs etc (providing the custys let me)

I used to give a local shop keeper £5 for every local customer he got for me a few years ago which worked well as all locals know and trust him. Worth a shot if you can strike a deal with a local shop keeper.

If your board works better than your leaflets...why don't you make your leaflets look like your board?

The board is a blown up version of a leaflet... However leaflets are to easy to throw away... Were as the board is there every day, so people who use the shop alot and sitting in traffic around school times? Will see it every day:)

Well done.

My personal opinion that leaflets have had their day. I found the same lack of response as you have had.

If you're working in towns that board is a great idea. One of the simplest and cheapest ideas I have seen on here.

Can I ask how you got the sign itself made up, putting the wooden bits together seems simple enough.
Thanks

My mate owns signs express darlington, and he did my ban wrap and leaflets so ad a favor he did the board cheap £10.00 :p
Then i just bought wooden sign and screwed it on the front.
I then bought a padlock and left it in a place and its still there 2 weeks later mo questions asked
