Title: taken aqua dapter off
Post by: Scrimble on August 28, 2013, 11:09:35 pm
decided to take my aqua dapter off my xtreme 18 pole and stick the gooseneck back on, was like taking a brick off the end of the pole,

had enough of the extra weight, and realised im actually faster without it, they really need to bring out a new one which is half the size and weight

I'm still on triggers - weight, what there is of it, is at the base of the pole and let go and the water stops. Still looking for the down side - haven't yet found it...

I have the mk3 xl

It's too heavy, it's ruins the 18xtreme, I don't bend down to turn the tap any less I just leave the flow on until I need to pick the hose up and walk with it, I pinch the hose on downstairs when needed

Done over 300 in a day yesterday no probs and still didn't get near to running out of water and it's even less strain on my shoulders

Until they bring out a far improved version it's staying off my pole

ye the loops the only bad thing about using a tap on your pole.

i personally think its laughable to think the new AD on an extreme pole with carbon gooseneck, extreme brush and mega light screw thread adaptor is heavy? ???

its mega light and mega useable with very little faffing when needing to control water flow.

each to their own though. ;) ;D ;D ;D

best wishes to you all

For normal domestic (ground floor and first floor) I prefer the ease of turning the water flow off and on and feel the weight is not that much of an issue. The only time the extra weight is noticeable is when the pole is  stretched near horizontal  over a conservatory roof.

Tap on my belt (right hip) where the hose reel hose and the pole hose meet.

Tap connected next to brush, never snags so not had to replace mine for months, no extra weight and easy to locate.

Never found it an issue - I have two sliding velcro strips over the brush hose which stops it catching - also like that the connector is off the ground and doesn't get damaged either, and that the triggers are very light, and cheap, and long lasting.

The extreme poles are a work of art and well through about. Why would you want to put something on the end of it lol  ;D

Firstly I'd want to put some kind of brush on the end of it.
Then I'd want to put some kind of water control on it. Or not. :)
