Title: Question for Mosmatic Users
Post by: Griffus on August 20, 2013, 11:22:56 pm

I have a leaking Mosmatic  :o

I have replaced the O Ring as I thought it was this but on closer inspection today I noticed that the water is actually coming from the holes in either side of the Swivel.

Has anyone else encountered this and if so what how did you resolve?

Cheers

If they are anything like a whirlaway (im under the impression the mosmatic swivels are a lot simpler than whirlaway swivels) then those holes are there as overflow holes, so if an o ring inside the swivel breaks, water cant get to the bearings. Might need to pull apart the swivel and change an internal o ring.

OK, so I took this apart as much as possible but couldn't get into the rotor, and not sure I want to.

I think the top will come off (the bits with the holes in) but without being certain I didn't want to force it.

Any last thoughts?
