Hi All
Can anyone offer advice on what to look for when buying a round? What to ask? What evidence to look for (from the person selling the round) to prove that the round is theirs to sell.
Thanks
-
I have never bought a round myself but my friend once did, He paid 2 and a half times the total amount of the income per clean. Then he worked the round for a month with the guy he was buying it from and had a letter to give every customer they cleaned, explaining the changes that he was taking over. It worked for him and he got a good round.

work the round with him (for free if you have to)
go collecting with him and introduce yourself when they come to the door
print some leaflets containing information about yourself also information about the change over and present this to all customers before parting with any cash
and good luck !!!

you should def get him to introduce you to all the customers hes selling. theres no excuse for not doing this so if he wont hes hiding something.

Thanks for all the info will definitely take it all on board when I finally find a round. Same old story in January there were a couple of rounds that looked interesting but I didn't have the funds to buy, now when the funds are set up there doesn't seem to be any rounds in the areas I am looking at.
Thanks again for your reply's

Do a search on here for doorknockers (Paul Bass) they will build you a round for the price of two cleans so if they get you a £1000 worth of work you pay them £2000 and it would be fairly close together.
And they guarentee there work so if you lose any they will replace.
If you buy a round it would cost you up to 4 times the amount.
so it would probably work out better to get doorknockers to build one for you

Nice one, thanks again.
Also anyone in the Bromley area consider some free labour for a day or two, I would be very interested in watching a pro in action?

Hi
I live in Sheffield 6 area, so I'm looking for a window round not too far away.
Thanks

I was very lucky. I brought a van and round for £1500, too good to be true I know. The round is worth double that a month. When I turn up to the house for the first time, I knock on the door explain that I have taken over, give the customer a leaflet with my details on. Also I put on the leaflet the previous window cleaner number on so he can vouch that I am not any one. ;D
