Title: ik9 sprayer
Post by: rycalshaw on August 14, 2013, 06:49:18 pm
hi guys, whats your opinion on the ik sprayers, just received mine and to be honest i,m pretty underwhelmed with the pressure,my previous sprayer was a cheap knapsack from machine mart and the ik doesn,t come close power wise..

Not really worth their price, think I paid £85? for mine.

It's worth £30 really.

I mean it's ok.

It it possible to use a fan spray jet on them? I don't like the cone spray.

Crap! I paid £49 for it and within a week the grey hose had kinked that much it snapped. Changed to the black hose because you can just cut and re use and now that's kinking so I've had to put tape over it. The pressure goes worse with hot water, defo not worth the money. Going to get myself a stainless steel one soon.

pressure wise the clarke knapsack was brilliant but the hose wasn,t sufficient to cope with the heat and chems and when i went to a specialist hose company they couldn,t fit one because of the numptybly bit where it fits to the trigger attachment and obviously a clarke replacement would be as bad as the 1st one, i,m a bit gutted actually, seems a bit of a waste of money. :'( :'(

Get a stainless steel Gloria.

In over two years of constant use, I've just had to replace the lance (not the whole trigger part). Cost about £20, just last week in fact.

I've tried all the plastic ones and as the name suggests, they are plastic!

Having said that, I would quite like a battery one, saves all that pumping! A stainless steel battery sprayer would be good if any exist!

I have 3 Gloria's !
2 plastic and 1 stainless Steele. They simply are the best on the market, last for years if looked after. For what you pay for a ik9 you can get a stratos 5 gloria for the same sort of money  :P

I've got a 10 Litre Stainless Steel Gloria that I 've been using for almost 10 years now. In that time, I've replaced one lance and some of the seals/o-rings. They may be a bit more expensive to buy, but they are great value for money in the long run.

I think Jamie still has a few glorias left at a reduced rate.

I have 2 Gloria 505s and another German copy of them equally as good quality.

I have bought a Ik9 and I am very dissappointed, it leaks solution on handle area when not in use even with limited pressure
