Title: Block paving with stone chippings
Post by: Tom-01 on August 12, 2013, 10:33:31 pm
Hi

Has anyone cleaned a block paved drive whereby the blocks slot together and have stone chippings in-between rather than kiln dried sand?

Is it ok to use a rotary surface cleaner on it?

Its approx 200sq m, I've allowed 25 bags of chippings, working on 1 bag per 8sq m - does that sound about right?

Thanks
Tom

Before you do this check with the homeowner that it is not a SUDS type paving.
Post a photo.

Thanks Roger

Is that where it's designed for any water to drain off into a soak away? Would that cause a problem?

Will try and get a pic but not sure I can.

Thanks
Tom

Sustainable Urban Drainage System
That's the one, not always a soak-away sometimes the waster water can be recycled depends if they went for expensive system etc.
