Title: Any Ideas

Did a job about 6 weeks ago,when I was doing the job the client told me the last 2 times the carpet had been cleaned,spots reappeared after a few days or a week,cant quite remember exactly.

There were about 10 15 spotted areas and all seemed to come out ok.When I say spots I mean spots about the size of coins


Not cleaned by me last 2 times by the way.

anyway had a call from her saying shes been away for 4 weeks and on returning from holiday several spots have reappeared.

Anyone any ideas why or whats going on?Seems strange that they keep coming back.

This woman is an eccentric head case by the way and I was in 2 minds about doing the job after viewing.

Would going round and bonneting the spots wiith my Flloormac and maybe some MPower help the problem.

I would get some Chemspec Absorb A Spill or some dry compound and pack the areas after treating.

Then ask her to vacuum the area after a day or 2

If they wick back they will continue up into the absorbent rather than the tips of the fibres.

When you say Dry Compound do you mean such as the stuff Sebo do for dry cleaning?

I got some packets of that when I bought a Duo.

could they be draft marks filtering through wayne? might be worth lifting the carpet up and seeing if there are any holes or rips in the underlay, if there is then cover holes with selotape or sticky tabs and then reclean, that should sort it.

The dry compounds are good at removing a lot of stains and before I became proficient with bleaches used to use it a lot. Many of the stains that would not come out with the usual spotters, I would cover with the powder and tell the customer to vac it up the next day. I was surprised at the range of stains it did remove.
Did not notice a lot of difference in performance between prochem, host or envirodri. The beauty of it is there is no risks.

Again refund you cant win them all. some people have buyers regret and high expections.
