if you're paying £22 per thousand expect them to end up in a bin. it;s way too cheap for them to get them delivered.
a single leafleter can deliver between 100-300 an hour, depending on the location. 300 an hour would mean terraced housing. on standard 3 bed semis 150 an hour is a really fast leafleter.
if they are delivering at 150 an hour then that's six and a half hours work for £22. So the leaflet dropper is being paid £3.33 per hour!!!! and that is without the company taking any cut. i would suggest that this company are never going to get your leaflets delivered.
if you think about it there is no really significant economies of scale in leaflet distribution as each leaflet has to be placed through every door.
i have learned this the hard way and have tried a number of companies. the worst i ever used were mailbox nationwide who have thankfully now gone into liquidation and owe a lot of people refunds. royal mail door to door are OK and trustworthy. the best way in my opinion is to get your own people leafleting for you. advertise in the local job centre. you'll have plenty of interest. i pay £6 per 100 leaflets which is pretty good money for this job.

i think they do multiple drops of leaflets from different companies, but that was my worries about them being binned.

Not good either bud.
If they're making it pay by dropping 10 flyers through 1 door the householder is likely to bin them all and not look at one!
That's what I do anyway.
Whoever you choose, you may do well to watch a few if their guys on the sly.
I get leafletted quite a lot and if I'm in I look to see if they walk across my grass.
I'm really precious about my grass.
Even if its a service/product that I want being advertised on the leaflet, it'll get filed in the bin as its disrespectful and lazy not to use the path.

We've been leaflet dropping for the last 6 months or so, I can't give you the exact return % per 1000 as the OH deals with this, if she sees the thread I'm sure she will post our returns/leads per 1000
We don't use a company none are reliable enough around here or want to drp your leaflet with six others.
We use students on self employed basis and pay around £60 per thousand on solo drops + they get £5 bonus or every lead that turns in a regular clean or one off gutter clear, SFG Cleaning, conny roof clean etc..
This removes the temptation to dump them in the bushes.
