Title: Can water claw be used with a porty?
Post by: Emil Dinev on August 11, 2013, 02:01:26 pm
As subject, just wondering whether I can use one with my porty? I got the powr flite - perfect heat PFX 1350.
Also can someone share their experience on working with a water claw extractor tool, ie what chemical is used what dilution ratio and how is it applied?

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Cheers
Emil

No not on that machine, the more powerful portys will work slightly better with one. Its best used with a truck as the blower keeps sucking under pressure.

The water claw is not like a hand tool so you dont put chemical through it. You just suck out the moisture with it. You can flood heavy stained or contaminated areas with a chemical mixture of your choice or even just water and then use the claw for full extraction.

Thanks Paul, I was suspecting that. It just wasn't adding up to me keeping the tool stuck to the carpet for a long time.
So will have to buy a truck mount then  ;D

Emil,
You can use a Waterclaw with a twin vac machine like yours but you just have to be careful which size you get.

Simon, I was thinking of this one. I think this is the smallest size they do.
