You can claim all those bills back as long as you prove they are solely for your business otherwise claim a proportion i.e Mobile bill £25 pm use of business calls 90% claim back £22.50 Same for your flat, if you use a room as your office then divide your rent/mortgage and utility bills by the number of rooms in your property and claim for 1 room usage.

You can also claim for 40% of your home phone bill if its used t make outgoing business calls from.

Dont forget you can also claim for gas, electricity and cleaning of work cloths and clothes.

As Trevor said you calculate how many habitable rooms you have (excluding beathrooms, halls, kitchen) and divide your expenses by that % and claim.

I pay about £30.00 pm electricity.... Would £12pm (£3per week) be ok to put down as electricity cost as I have no gas in my flat.

Its got to be calculated to the penny as per the IR.

Say you have a 2 bedrooms, i living room and a dining room. Use 1 bedroom for the ofice you take the £30 and divid it by 4 (the total number of rooms) and times it by 1 (the total number of rooms used for the business).  This means you can claim £7.50 of your £30 bill.

Do the same with the rent/morgage as well
