There is no point in having a commercial section as most successful contractors / suppliers end up getting driven off the forum.

Don't think your master (Archer) will be very keen on seperate sections on CIU for com and dom work.

Just for the record:

Whats wrong with £5.00 ?? ???

I know quite afew window cleaners charging £4 - £5 amounts for terraced houses, who earn serious money, and i mean big amounts !

I think in this day and age, people forget about the small paying houses.

A good traditional window cleaner can easily clean 50 terraced houses a day, on a compact round.

I'm out there no-matter if its raining hard, you kind of get used to it. I've been running my own business 19 years & cannot remember losing a customer just because its raining.

So 50 terraced houses a day @ £4.00 over a 5 day period = £1,000.00 per week.

So imagine, some window cleaners have 10 lads working for them - £10,000.00 per week

Now we are getting into big money just cleaning terraced houses, no wonder you cannot buy a good compact window round at the moment in the north west.

 ;)

I think that's a good idea. When you've started one, please post a link on CIU so that the adults can look in.

Out of respect to you Knocker,

sorry for the idiot who constantly posts about me being the master and all the crap.

I strive to make my business as successful as you have, and unlike some on here I always want to seek advice from others like yourself, of which I have before, and will again say thank you for taking the time, allowing me to introduce myself and ask you and your brother a few questions when we met at The Cleaning Show, which was very helpful.

Once again thank you

I can see no reason at all to have a commercial section and a domestic section - a lot of us do both anyway.

Maybe a section for men with large genitals and another section for plebs maybe?

Excuse the brodex pole, was taken 3 years ago but here is my employee doing westmorland terrace sw1.
Although great prices
I have to work a sunday every other month to do them and the customers dictate when to do them! I only go if i have 3 or more booked in but out of all of the ones i have they are all pickers and choosers when they want them done which is annoying and will be selling them soon if your interested?.
these are the oy places you can charge extortionate prices but i still prefere regular monthly work thats local and a doddle without being spoke down to by the customer etc.

I'd much rather they spent the time/resources/money sorting what we've got.

The picture uploader wants sorted.
The insert quote link from posting page is broken.
The swear filter is a bit too oppressive.
There is a distinct lack of moderators.
The search function is not exactly what you would call "good".
Why is there no PM?
A 'thank' feature would work well here I think (the only way you can judge anyone without trawling through their past posts on here is to look at their post count. That is clearly flawed. You just need to take Tosh as an example, 17000+ posts, most of which is racist rants)
A list of topics that the you (not you you, but you the user) have posted in would be good.

Oh and why is there not a mobile version? The desktop version is OKish on a mobile but it could be so much better.

I've just spent ten minutes deleting all the bitching from this post.  I'll open it back up tomorrow.

The PM function would cause "clique" situations. (That's the explanation I read on here a while back.)
There's nothing wrong with the picture uploader.  ???

The picture uploader never works for me, the link at the bottom, the one at the top works ok. Lots of people struggle to post photos because of it.

A clique? Oh well, we can't have that now can we?
