Title: Pumps
Post by: gr cleaning solutions on August 07, 2013, 07:59:49 am
Morning all doing a job last night and I notice rather a lot of water coming out the bottom off my machine , when I got in I stripped it down and when you turn the pump on water is coming out between the metal casing to the black plastic top .
Can these be repaired or do I replace ?
If I am to replace it could i put a bigger pump in or will I have stay with the same psi pump as what in it ?
My machines a Extracta cx with a 100 psi pump .

Many thanks Gavin

The prices of the inline heaters seem to be very good.

If the water is coming from between the motor casing and the black pump unit then it is very likely the diaphragm is split. They are not too expensive and are reasonably easy to fit.
If you have the cash then I would maybe consider replacing with an induction motored 135 pump.
If you do, you must remember to release the pressure from the line before switching on as it will damage the motor if you don't.
