Want to move forward will be asking customers to setup standing orders however Rather then ask them to make it exactly every 8 weeks or what not I was wondering if there is a way they can set it up so I click accept payment rather then strictly each day on each month, this will be good incase we fall behind with weather van sickness holiday .
Is this possible ?

why don't you get them to set up a Standing order based on 12 cleans per year… that way you can move your days about to suit…
-
On average 6 but could be 5-7 , yea I have ideas around it like keep track and credit them back if they have over paid , but if something like that was about would be cool

you can always return the money
you can offer an internal clean if you miss the outside
By having the monies on set dates/ weeks you in effect end up with a regular wage and if we have a terrible winter at least money will come in and at a later date resolve the problem of returning the money or a internal clean

I am seriously thinking about using gocardless and having direct debits.
Apparently using this, you just request the money from the customer's bank when its due. There's a one-week delay, and the fee is 1%.
Great idea, seriously thinking about it for my customers

I use Go Cardless >> www.iconicwindowcleaning.co.uk/directdebit

You can set up and initiate a direct debit. Speak to your own bank first, there are also third party providers who can set this up for you easily and relativley cheaply if you have no joy with your bank. One example............

Any how much per transaction and how did customers accept this method of payment

Go Cardless is only 1% of each transaction - capped at £2... So a £30 payment only costs 30p - Which is great value I think.
I'm only moving slow payers over to it at the moment so that it puts me in control of the payments... Seems to be working well so far.

"bank bill payment" - no charge (online or at bank for customer or yourself).
Quote your bank, account name, account number and sort code.
Check payments online or on statements, simple :)

Intresting , you are able to get them to set up direct debits thought those were harder to do. But it says after each window clean? How does it work also cardless so no cards saying windows cleaned?

I think it's brilliant... My new customers are signing up to it no problem... I ask them to sign up before I clean their windows.
