Title: Best way to clean dirty carpet tiles?
Post by: benny d on August 06, 2013, 05:49:21 pm
I have always used HWE with a portys.

Last week I did a big job in a very large shop floor which was carpet tiles. They were filthy, but I did what I could with the porty. Emptying the water it was like oil, so I got tonnes of dirt out. They were very happy with it and want to book again for next spring-Phew!

My point is, is there a better system to clean carpet tiles as I was not 100% happy with it. Usually in a domestic the carpets look almost as good as new, but this was not the case in the shop. Still visible darker areas on the traffic lanes etc.

I have another quote next week for a tennis club carpet tiles, so I was wondering what is considered the best method for this type of flooring, or have I done the best job possible on this type of carpet?

Tnx.

Since I've had the Cimex, I've been slowly putting myself out of business.

Carpet tiles are staying cleaner for longer. Bug-ger.

Benny,

The chances are the traffic lanes will dry much better that they look when damp.

My suggestion to you would be, try and persuade them to have it cleaned before spring, stressing the importance of a maintance clean  , and as already stated , encap ,with a cimex if possible., by far the best results on low profile carpet tiles.

They are all gone Paul.

Only new ones at the moment.

Used/ex-demo dont come up all that often.

The Cimex machine is 80 years old this year!

Its all about the planned maintenance.

I have just got back from a meeting with a facilities manager,

I cleaned all the function rooms etc in a hotel they purchased and they turned into "a pretty classy student acommodation"  i cleaned them using h/w/e   and now just talked them into having a mainenace clean every 3 months using encap.
Sell the long time benifits and quite often they will go for it .
