Title: Is this ok? Need help
Post by: britishwill on August 05, 2013, 10:02:30 pm
I have just moved a into rented house and I am not allowed to screw anything into the walls. Is it ok to produce water (Sediment, carbon, 4040) whist they are it is on there side and not upright? DI's are upright!

Also my TDS is 400 going in and I have adjusted the rejection water down to approx 8ppm product, then to DI.
My question is I am only producing a small amount of waste water (more than a dribble). I have heard that you should do 60% produce 40% waste. As a guestimate I am getting 90% product and 10% waste.
Is this ok or will it muck up the RO making to much product and not enough waste.
It is now filling a 650 litre tank in just under 3 hours, Happy days!

Really appreciate you help

Will, get a bit of ply and screw everything into that, then rest it up against something rather than fix to a wall.
Although surely the not fixing into the wall is only in living quarters-i've never known a landlord to object to screwing something to the wall in the garage...
Unless you've made a feature of your purification system in the living room ;D

90/10 is too much.
I'm at 50/50 and happy.
I haven't got any horror stories or anything at 90/10 but i wouldn't risk it tbh.
Surely if you've got enough water made over night for the following morning it doesnt matter if it takes 3 hours or 8?...
