Title: tarmac sealent
Post by: Jettaway on August 05, 2013, 10:49:31 am
Used a sealant product,

When on quite nice when wet but when dried it went quite patchy. Thought it went on a bit thin with first coat but second went on nicer. One thing I did notice was that when I put it on thicker on second coat as to manufacturers instructions, the product was just pooling. This was my first time using a tarmac sealant, does the product soak into tarmac well, so if I did apply thick and let it pool, when dry would it not stand out. just didn't want streak marks like a badly emulsioned wall from an overloaded roller.

What was the product? Usually the first coat is applied thicker than the second, allowed to dry ie dry enough to walk on then thin second coat , Apply it 90 deg to first roller it out so it doesn't pool. Once fully dry shouldn't be patchy but let custy know u will still see repairs joint lines etc
