Hi
What steam cleaner do you used dustee??
Thanks,

You can use a combination of steam and hand cleaning with certain chemicals.
You don't necessarily need to use a dip tank.

Could you let me know what steam cleaner you would recommend for cleaning ovens? I want to avoid the dip tank thing, and would much rather steam clean. I clean houses at the moment, and want to move into offering oven cleaning too. Thanks for your help ;D

Hi Deb1234
I use a matrix steam cleaner, absolutely fantastic machine but I have tried to clean ovens with steam and I cant seem to achieve what I would deem acceptable results so I would suggest dip tanks are the best method to clean ovens.
But for everything else my steam cleaner is great! hope this has helped.

I noticed that advert as well, and I considered taking him up on his offer. I know alot of people prefer dip tanks, is that just because its quicker, or because steam just does not shift the dirt on some ovens? Is it just a case of more elbow grease being needed with steam? Or that some stains just will not move?

I don't clean ovens so i wouldn't know but i would think more elbow grease would be needed with steam but who knows ? I would think he uses chems still but with steamer go for the day out and see you never know might be quite good if you do let us know :)

OK I admit it!!! I know nothing about cleaning ovens!!! What I do know is common sense and cleaning of any description is easier with dwell times. So it is easier to clean my caked on shepherds pie dish out of the oven if it sits in Fairy Liquid for a couple of hours than it is to attack it with a scourer immediately. My perception is, this is what chemicals do and the steam approach must be trying to break the contaminant down through heat????

We started off using steam for the main 'body' but still used a dip tank for shelving (non heated) results great but took along time. Obviously due to the price, we quoted over the phone, hence you never knew conditon until you turned up ! Decided to drop service simply due to the profit / work involved. Personally I would not consider it with just steam, good luck.

Vanquish chemical is the best heat the oven for 10mins give it a little scrub and it's brand new !
