Title: Blazer expansion tank leak
Post by: MAX Carpets on August 02, 2013, 06:59:53 pm
Hi Guys

I seem to have sprung a small leak in the expansion tank next to the demand pump on my blazer.

Could this be welded or does it have a "Bladder" inside?

Cheers!

Justin

I would replace it but not from prochem. These accumulators are used in all sorts of applications. I think I found mine on ebay, only difference was it was orange.

You could try cold welding or buy a replacement as wynne recommends. A good plumber’s merchant will point you in the right direction

Its a few years ago but it was only £25. Weld it and it may be fine.

Expansion Tank or Vessel should give you a good start!

Vessel may be better though http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_nkw=expansion+vessel&_frs=1

I just built one for a install quite cheap thanks to my neighbours at Plumb Centre.
