Been asked to clean fascias, soffits and external guttering. All white upvc.
Customer said don't waste your fancy water, just use the outside tap.
Do you normally use tap water or pure for conservatory roofs and or fascias?

i have 20 m of extension microbore specifically for plugging into customers outside taps if available.
it gives you a faster flow and makes the job easier.you dont need pure on polycarbon conny roofs or any plastic fascias/soffits.
the only time i use pure water on these add ons is clear glass conny roofs or if no tap is available.

I use pure water because I can't be bothered to keep swapping hoses etc (and my little van is maxed out on space). I also think it cleans very well. I find you don't need much water to clean soffits and gutters so I turn my pump down to 10 which seems to work lovely. The trick is to use a stiff brush, stick a washing up scouring pad to the back of it (for stubborn stuff) and dry the underside of the gutters and soffits. I use a 'towel turban' to dry them with, it's what 'er indoors uses to dry her hair. Fits lovely and secure over your brush...but don't tell 'er indoors!

I use hot pure water, makes the job much easier than cold,
I wouldnt use tap water unless your di only and the tap water is soft

I try to use tap water for conny roofs when it is available. If it's a glass roof I will use pure for the final rinse.

why spray chemicals everywhere? hot water cleans easy! the cost is tiny

Just use the flipping tap

Tap if available. Soffits etc. often need properly wiping down, so be careful not to get caught out quoting pole but requiring ladders etc. Guttering usually requires debris cleaned out too, ladders again, unless you've got one of those guttervac's.

ive never had to get the ladders off for any outside gutter/soffit job in 3 years of wfp.as for clearing gutters out i dont do em unless their easy/safe with a ladder.
