is there any advantage at all using 8 mil over 6, my pumps are weird on six thinking of changing back to 8

you ll have a slightly higher flow and itll be harder work managing your hose.i have 6 mm hose and have no problems with my shurflo 100 psi pump.
what pump you got and how old is it michael?

i have a 60 psi flojet three 100 psi sureflows and 100 psi vyair which i got today dont use controllers and none of the pumps like the hose they dont run constantly, put some old ionics 8mil on a min ago with a 7 litre per min vyair pump and it worked great straight away the pump ran as it should and the flow was beautiful im gunna try this

The Shurflo's should be fine with 6mm.
Perhaps the Vyair with its 7lp is causing the pump pressure switch to kick in because of the smaller bore hose.
I love 6mm its light and quick to wind in and with a Shurflo the flow is spot on. ;D

ive just tried with my old 8mil and its sooo good, i think as long as the outside diameter is sensible although a bit heavier ( i leave in the van) the flow from the vyair 7lt through 8mil is beautiful i am aiming to do a lot of the rinsing in the same sweep of the brush as the scrubbing with fan jets so i shouldnt use too much more water as i will be working a lot quicker with so much water on the glass, i carry 650 liters and always come home with at least 100

I tryed alot of pumps on 6mm and found shure flo has been the best with or with out the controller only probs with the 6mm they don't seem to last as long as the 8mm hose.
