been looking at some positive posts about these plastic connectors.
who uses them pls and the good or bad points?
rectus drive me insane apart from rectus 26 but they are so heavy compared.
poles are only disconnected a couple times a day on various days , and when they dont leak i wind the pole hose onto the reel aswell ..
would i be better off with something else or are the aquadaptor fiitngs better than rectus
-
i have had the sam econnecter on for about 6 months best connecter i have ever used for 6 mil
-
They are superb, much better than rectus 21
-
Brill !
Been trialling for a few weeks not a single disconnect and no problems on the wear side

Do these connect your microbore to your pole hose .cos the barbs are the same size, as if you are just connecting 2 lengths of pole hose .or am I mistaken . Cheers barry .

Thanks Lee
They look good!
Hi Barry 1/4" is about 6mm so I think these are designed for 6mm internal diameter hose on your reel think it's microbore I get mixed up between the two microbore or minibore - what a bore!!!!!!!
-
Microbore is 6mm I/d. As is most pole hose 1/4 inch is 6.35mm so you get a real good fit
Mini bore is 8mm I/d (5/16 of an inch)
You can get these connectors by searching cps connectors in google
But a/d's price is pretty good

Do they do a female with 8mm hose tail?

Do they do a female with 8mm hose tail?
I was wondering the same thing. Can you get these with an 8mm barb?
-
We have just finished a 3 month trial of Instarair couplings, you lock them together & the guys have bashed them about, dragged them around, with no leaks at all.
The only negative would be there is a bit of weight to them, but they aren't carried, because of how rugged they are, they get placed on the floor & forgotten.
Ours were bought from Powerdrive Ltd, who always have a stock, its local to pop in too. They sell them already with the barbs attached.
This is a site that sells them.

i have started useing them with 8mil hose, they only have 6mil but what you do is cut about an inch of pole hose off and fit it over the 6 mil tail, then put your micro bore over the tail with the pole hos eon it and juballi clip it nice an tight
-
i have been using the same connectors for the last 2 years with out any problems and will not use anything else.

Good tip. Would make it much easier if they had an 8mm barb type though.

honesty mate though its not trouble at all they fit fine

seriously though everyone should use the plastic connectors, simply put there is no better, they out last any on the market as well"! light easy to click together and don't ever leak or come apart (unless you stand on it)

Mine only came apart when I stood on them (no protecta ball). I got a bit fed up with this so reverted back to ez snap fittings and protecta ball. Now protecta ball gets caught on everything so I shall swap back again to the plastic fittings. I'm using an aquadapter now so hopefully less likely to tread on them.

Does anybody know where to buys these from as AD are out of stock
-
lee from gls i think knows
-
First day using the new connectors & im well impressed.
Easy connection & disconnection & no leaks .
Now have to see how long they last ??
-
i have never broken one yet, they last a lot longer than rectus which is surprising because the dont look like they will do they, must be some hard wearing old plastic they are using
-
Still out of stock ???
